Analox visits Technip's 'Skandia Achiever' dive support vessel
28th May 2012
Analox Sensor Technology has developed gas analysis products for the commercial diving industry for many years. However, very few members of the Analox team have had the opportunity to see the equipment they manufacture in use on board a support vessel.
However, when the Technip Dive Support Vessel ‘Skandi Achiever’ docked in North East England, several members of the Analox team were invited on board.
The Skandi Achiever docked in Teesport and a day later in Hartlepool Docks. A small team from Analox was invited to tour the vessel each day. Whilst the visits were mutually beneficial, with Analox servicing and maintaining the gas analysis equipment on board, Analox’s staff appreciated the opportunity to see the equipment in use, and to learn more about the how a commercial diving support vessel operates.
As Sales Manager for Analox Sensor Technology, Simon Lunt has visited such vessels previously. He was pleased to have the opportunity to take along staff for whom this was a new experience. He said: “Technip were fantastic hosts and we would like to give special thanks to Bobby Gray, the Technical Supervisor, for the time he took showing us around the impressive dive system. Every member of the Technip team was extremely professional and very proud of the work they do.”
