Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a toxic gas and is used frequently in the hospitality industry to carbonate drinks.
Each year there are a number of reported incidents involving carbon dioxide which include fatalities, what is not yet documented is the number of heart attacks and strokes triggered by high CO2 levels causing a strain on the lungs and heart.
