Analox Sub MkIIP™ for use in a DISSUB

The Analox Sub MkIIP forms a vital part of any nations submarine escape and rescue assets. In the event of a DISSUB (Distressed Submarine) in which the submarine has lost power and is unable to surface, the Sub MkIIP provides continuous real time monitoring of Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Pressure & Temperature inside the submarine escape compartment and enables the Senior Survivor to take those critical decisions needed to maximise survival within the DISSUB. The decision whether to escape or continue to wait for a rescue is likely to be a matter of life and death, as a result submariners need reliable equipment that has been specifically designed for the job – they have this in the Sub MkIIP.

The Sub MkIIP replaces the original Sub E-IR15P, it’s smaller, more lightweight and offers longer battery endurance on half the batteries.

The Sub MkIIP is the only analyser available on the market that meets the requirements of NATO Stanag 1320 Ed 4, Minimum Requirements for Atmospheric Monitoring Equipment located in submarines with escape capability.

The effectiveness of the Sub MkIIP has been proven through several simulated DISSUB exercises, in Norway, the USA and Italy, and through escape tank exercises at SETT in the UK. Click here for further information.

The sensors within the analyser operate via diffusion, annual factory maintenance is required, to ensure the performance of the Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide and pressure sensors throughout their service life.

Several versions of the Sub MkIIP are available under a Nato Stock Number – click here for further information.
