Stokesley - Local Information

Stokesley is an historic market town situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Its wide cobbled main street is lined by Georgian and Regency buildings, and it has beautiful scenic views of Roseberry Topping.

Stokesley is a haven for visitors to both the North Yorkshire Moors as well as to costal towns such as Whitby and Scarborough.

Local history includes the birth place of Captain Cook; the Mill Wheel, thought to represent the site of a mill recorded in the Domesday Book and an annual agricultural show  takes place on the Stokesley showground.
